Interactive 3D school experiences

Explore your school. Meet your AI guide.

TourAI creates interactive AI-powered 3D school experiences. Visitors explore the campus, chat with AI guides, answer three short questions for a personalized tour, and schools embed everything via a widget on their own site. Campus scanners enable capture. The experience is the product.

The problem

Physical open days cannot reach every future student

Distance, timing, and incomplete discovery leave families guessing. While admissions still needs a credible way to show campus life and subjects.

01

Far

Reach limited by travel

Distance and travel

Families far from campus cannot easily attend every open day, so the school stays abstract until it is almost too late.

02

Fixed

Dates that exclude many

Timing that misses people

One weekend slot cannot serve every schedule. Interested students miss the only chance to walk the halls.

03

Surface

Shallow subject insight

Incomplete discovery

A rushed tour rarely answers deep subject questions. Visitors leave without a real feel for departments and daily life.

The solution

TourAI: scan the campus, then let AI guide discovery

Schools turn a campus scan into an interactive 3D experience with an AI tour guide, subject specialists, and an embeddable widget. Branded as their school.

  1. Step 1

    Scan the campus

Capture the physical school so it becomes a navigable digital 3D environment visitors can explore remotely.

    Add the AI layer

Layer an AI tour guide and subject specialist AIs on top, personalized by three short pre-tour questions.

  3. Step 3

    Embed with your brand

Publish a widget on the school website so families discover campus life inside your own channels.

AI tour guide

A conversational AI guide helps families navigate the experience and understand what they are seeing.

Subject specialists

Dedicated subject AIs go deeper on departments and courses when a visitor wants richer academic context.

Pre-tour questions

School branding

The experience presents as your school. Visual identity and tone that fit admissions and communications.

Embeddable widget

Drop TourAI into an existing school web page so discovery lives where families already look.

How schools adopt TourAI

Champion → pilot page → families

Start with the person who owns discovery messaging, prove one embedded campus page, then share it where families already look.

  1. 01

    Find an admissions champion

Partner with admissions or communications. The team that feels open-day limits and wants a branded digital path for distant families.

  2. 02

    Pilot one campus page

Ship a single TourAI experience: scan, AI guide layer, three personalization questions, and school branding in a widget.

  3. 03

    Share with families

Publish on the school site and point future students and parents to always-on discovery alongside physical open days.

Roadmap

From CSB concept to broader education markets

Prove the experience where we study first, then expand carefully through Dutch schools and European education.

  1. CSB

    Amsterdam / CSB concept

Shape TourAI around real secondary-school discovery needs at CSB Amsterdam. Scan, 3D, AI guide, embed.

  2. NL

    Dutch schools

Pilot branded campus experiences with NL admissions and communications teams who need reach beyond open days.

  3. EU

    European education

Extend the same Scan → AI layer → Embed model to more European schools with privacy-conscious defaults.

  4. Depth

    Richer subject layers

Grow specialist AI depth, branding controls, and embed workflows without inventing partnership claims.

  5. Wider

    Broader markets

Carry the TourAI pattern into additional education contexts once NL and EU school pilots are solid.

Founder story

We lived the discovery gap. Then we started building TourAI.

Julian Schoonhoven and Calvin Wen are building TourAI at CSB Amsterdam. Interactive AI-powered 3D school experiences families can actually use.

Where it started

We are students at CSB Amsterdam. We watched open days and campus discovery fail people who live too far away, cannot make the date, or leave with only surface-level subject answers. TourAI started as a practical response: scan the school, make it explorable in 3D, add an AI guide layer, and put the experience on the school’s own site. Light PWS research context helped us stay honest about privacy and what schools should (and should not) collect.

Why now

Schools already market online, but remote visitors still cannot feel campus space or ask a guide that knows subjects. Modern 3D capture plus conversational AI finally make an interactive, branded discovery layer realistic. Without pretending a scanner alone is the product.

What most demos miss

A pretty walkthrough is not enough. Families need personalization, subject depth, and an embed that looks like the school. Scanner rent or buy only enables the capture. The product is the always-on experience admissions can publish.

Dual builders on purpose

TourAI is not a solo founder myth. Julian and Calvin build side by side: campus experience, AI layer, and school-facing embed. We want partners in admissions and communications who will pilot one page with real families. Not a YC narrative or an invented US stadium expansion.

School obsession

We talk to people who run discovery: admissions, communications, leadership, and families who need more than one open-day weekend. Features on this page map to that gap. Distance, timing, subject depth, branding, and embed - not fake logos or partnership name-drops.

What is still hard

Getting a first campus page live takes coordination: scan quality, AI context schools trust, and branding that fits. We are early, honest about privacy, and focused on pilots that schools can actually publish.

North star

Make interactive AI campus discovery normal for schools that care about reach and clarity. Starting in Amsterdam, growing through Dutch schools and European education, then into broader markets when the core experience is solid.

Who builds it

  • Julian Schoonhoven (H5D) and Calvin Wen (H5C) build TourAI together. Dual builders, shared product ownership.
  • Privacy-conscious research informs how personalization questions and visitor input are framed.
  • Commercial product tone: ship a usable school experience, not a concept video forever.

Facts, not fluff

  • Building TourAI as dual founders at CSB Amsterdam (H5D & H5C)
  • Product focus: 3D campus explore, AI guide, subject specialists, widget embed
  • Privacy research mindset carried from school project context into product decisions
  • Dutch National Champion, Junior Men's 16 Quadruple Sculls (KNRB, 2026). One track record fact, not the main story

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about TourAI

What is TourAI?
TourAI turns a campus scan into an interactive 3D school experience with an AI tour guide, subject specialist AIs, three pre-tour personalization questions, and an embeddable widget that carries school branding.
How reliable are the AI guide and subject specialists?
TourAI is designed to help visitors explore and ask questions, with school-controlled context where possible. Treat answers as guided discovery support. Schools remain the source of official admissions information.
How does TourAI think about privacy?
We take a privacy-conscious approach: collect only what personalization needs, keep visitor input purposeful, and avoid over-claiming compliance labels. Schools stay in control of how the experience is published.
Do we need to buy a scanner?
Scanning is an enabler, not the hero product. Schools can rent or buy scanning capability to capture campus. TourAI’s value is the interactive 3D experience, AI layer, and embed.
Can we embed TourAI on our school website?
Yes. TourAI is built to sit in a widget on the school site so families discover campus life inside your existing web presence.
Can the experience match our school branding?
Yes. The embedded experience is meant to feel like your school. Branding and presentation aligned with admissions and communications.
What happens with the three pre-tour questions?
Visitors answer three short questions before entering. Those answers help personalize the AI guide’s focus so the tour starts closer to their interests.
How do schools get started with TourAI?
Start with an admissions or communications champion, pilot one campus page, then share the embed with families. Talk to the builders to map scan, AI layer, and embed for your school.
